The University of Southern Indiana’s Enrollment Services seeks applicants for a full-time Systems Application and CRM Manager. This position is responsible for data management, developing and analyzing reports, with support from the Information Technology (IT) office, and administering the university’s customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as designated administrator and assists IT in problem-solving complex functional and technical issues in Slate
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and resource in all things regarding the CRM management for the Strategic Enrollment Management team, and USI’s executive team 
  • Develop ad hoc reports and dashboards as needed by teams to ensure that USI is supporting the full life cycle of all students
  • Utilize tools such as Slate and Tableau to visualize data
  • Compile annual report data for the division 
  • Provide technical assistance to staff with questions about how to use Slate
  • Conduct continuous training with system/operations staff to enhance knowledge of how the systems work
  • Seek out and participate in training opportunities and conduct self-directed study to stay aware of emerging technologies and increase technical knowledge
  • Provide information about training to USI staff to assist with keeping them aware of emerging technologies

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or related field, and/or equivalent education and experience
  • CRM experience
  • Data analytics experience supporting key stakeholders and high-level organizational leaders
  • 2-3 years of providing administrative and CRM technical support
  • Strong aptitude for diagnosing end-user problems, identifying and implementing solutions
  • Thorough understanding of reporting and visualization technology
  • Thorough understanding of relational databases
  • Ability to understand data needs and produce clear and useful reports
  • Excellent troubleshooting techniques related to software, including the ability to demonstrate effective and timely problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, a high degree of motivation, initiative, adaptability, flexibility, and ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Strongly collegial, professional, positive, and effective in the communication with and support of the CRM system for faculty, staff, and students including periods of time in which high volume admissions operations activities occur
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and organize customer relationship operations to ensure a satisfied clientele
  • Ability to apply principles of influence systems, such as motivation, incentive, and leadership.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to apply facts and principles for developing approaches and techniques to resolve problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving the planning and management of a project

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years relevant and demonstrable experience using and supporting Slate CRM in a higher education setting
  • Experience in marketing analytics
  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Experience in project management or business analysis
  • Minimum 3 years relevant and demonstrable experience working both in a team environment and individually
  • Experience supporting Ellucian Banner in higher education setting
  • CRM Certification or demonstrable knowledge, skills, and abilities

A remote or hybrid work schedule is a possibility.
