Purdue University’s John Martinson Honors College (JMHC) and College of Engineering, West Lafayette, Indiana, invite applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position. We seek candidates from environmental engineering with experience in undergraduate honors education to teach honors courses in the JMHC and the College of Engineering’s Honors Program. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in environmental science and community-based projects . Required duties include teaching in the first-year honors course series on topics related to the candidate’s field of specialty and offering specialty honors seminars and sections of engineering courses. The workload is 2-2 teaching, with participation in Goss Scholars learning community activities and other high impact extra-curricular programming that support the honors experience. Initial contract is for three years with possibility for renewal, and the position begins August 2023.

Qualifications

Ph.D. required in environmental engineering. Candidates must demonstrate experience teaching courses in engineering and interdisciplinary courses to students from various majors. The nine-month salary will be based on education and experience. Purdue University offers a comprehensive benefits package.
