It is in this context that the Planner, reporting to the Associate Vice President for Campus Planning and Design, will be responsible for managing space and campus planning studies in Boston and select global locations.
The Planner will use their skillset to manage planning studies, develop space program options and approaches to solve specific space needs and goals of the University. Utilizing their background in architecture, space or urban planning and design thinking, the Planner will evolve program needs into practical short- and long-term options, develop graphics to visualize these options and approaches, and assemble graphically clear presentation and communication materials to provide decision support for senior university leadership.
The Campus Planner will ensure that the program and design decisions reflect the experiential components of successful projects at Northeastern, the input of critical members of the university community, and the innovation and flexibility that Northeastern has come to demand in the creation of new spaces.
