Seattle University College of Nursing invites applications for a term faculty Assistant Teaching Professor position beginning September 1, 2023 in the undergraduate level Diagnostic Ultrasound program. Applicants certified in RDMS, RDCS, and/or RVT with clinical instruction experience will be considered.

Responsibilities will include both teaching courses in their area of sonography expertise and may be asked to coordinate some aspects of the clinical experience for students within their area of certification. Successful candidates have a genuine desire to contribute to the mission of Seattle University.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound; ARDMS or CCI registered sonographer with 2 years of clinical experience in at least one area of sonography; possess appropriate credential(s) for the learning concentration s/he are providing instruction and performing student evaluations, documentation of progress, periodic review of course content, and participate in curriculum development.

Preferred: Master’s degree; 3 years of teaching and clinical experience in practice of sonography; certified in RDMS, RDCS, and RVT; demonstrate a commitment to conference presentations and publications

Compensation at a Glance:

Salary Range: $65,000 - $74,000

The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.
