Position Summary

The Laboratory Animal Facilities at the University at Buffalo is seeking a New York State licensed Veterinary Technician to administer clinical treatments and monitor the health of animals under our care. Additional responsibilities include:

• Physical exam of incoming animals
• Collection, preparation and testing of biological samples
• Provide technical support to investigators
• Maintain animal health records and supply inventories
• Other animal care related tasks

Minimum Qualifications

• Candidates must have a two year degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent and a current New York State License
• Candidates must have 3 years experience in animal work, in a non-residential setting.

Physical Demands

Must be able to handle large animals.
