Teach undergraduate courses emphasizing computational biology as a field and computational skills for biology majors including research-oriented laboratory courses. Participate in the department's other upper level courses and possibly prerequisite courses at the introductory level. Standard teaching load is 3/2. Upper-level lab courses count as full courses, as do repeat offerings of a course. This is a three year-term position in Computational Biology, beginning Summer 2023 for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Required Qualification Summary
Applicants must be active scientists with strong skills and background in an aspect of computational biology, with preparedness for teaching courses for undergraduate students. Applicants should have a PhD relevant to the position.

Preferred Qualification Summary
Areas of specialization are broad. We seek candidates using the research tools and expertise of computational biology and data science to study one or more biological systems. Desirable to have prior experience and demonstrated commitment in undergraduate teaching including one-on-one or small-group mentoring of projects, Engagement is strongly encouraged in teaching innovation or outreach, on-campus or off-campus.


Salary Range
$78,500 - $78,500
