The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Grove City College invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering. Passion for teaching fundamentals of biomedical engineering at the bachelor’s level is essential along with an interest in applied undergraduate research. Looking for faculty to support development of a new biomedical engineering concentration within our Applied Science and Engineering program. Individuals with expertise across a wide range of areas related to biomedical engineering will be considered.

 

The department seeks applicants that support its commitment to academic excellence, undergraduate teaching and research, hands-on engineering design, and advising within the context of a college community that values liberal arts education, the life of the Christian mind and service for the common good. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses including laboratory courses and the advising of capstone design projects.

 

PhD in Biomedical Engineering or field of engineering or science closely related to biomedical engineering is required. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in teaching undergraduates in both classroom and laboratory settings. Although undergraduate teaching is the primary focus at Grove City College, student/faculty research and other scholarly work, such as research in engineering education, is highly valued and applicants should have the ability and a plan to carry on research and/or other scholarly work.

 

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
