Assistant Professor of Education

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in traditional and online distance learning environment; supervise teacher candidates in field and internship placements, participate in public school partnerships; serve on university, public school, state and community committees, advise undergraduate and graduate candidates, provide service in community and professional organizations, engage in collaborative projects with university and P-12 faculty, and seek grants to support curriculum and program research and development.

Doctorate in special education is preferred with demonstrated expertise in K-12 special education required. Master’s degrees with exceptional expertise/experience will be considered at an Instructor level.  Applicant must have evidence of ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds. A knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Response to Intervention (RTI), data analysis, eligibility assessment, and experience teaching in an online format is preferred.  The successful applicant must have strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills.
