What you'll be doing

  • This is an embedded position that operates under an agency model within the University's central Marketing and Communications office and serves as a dedicated specialist to our clients within the School of Education and the Center for Autism.
  • Generates both marketing and editorial/journalistic written content for a variety of platforms (including but not limited to brochures, magazines, newsletters, news articles and releases, advertisements, video scripts, web sites, social media) and to a variety of constituents within School of Education and Center for Autism.
  • Work at a place with great people, that have a great passion and purpose to promote student success.
  • Demonstrate the interest in the value that K-16 teachers and special needs professionals contribute to the community.
  • Increase enrollment and participation of the UVU community in School of Education and Autism Center programs and events through the creation and management of strategic marketing plans.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree plus one year ofmarketing/design experience OR a combination of relevant education and experience totaling five years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of marketing and communications best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and applications including the Adobe Suite.
  • Knowledge of lead generation, SEO, data analysis as well as online and print advertising best practices.
  • Knowledge of core marketing metrics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best social media practices and digital marketing best practices and platforms.
  • Knowledge and experience in organizing integrated promotional conversion strategies diverse across diverse audience segments.
  • Knowledge and experience in building out CRM initiatives to build-out audience loyalty strategies.
  • Knowledge and experience identifying market and brand awareness weaknesses/deficiencies.
  • Knowledge and experience and track record of managing and optimizing campaigns to meet campaign targets.

Preferred Qualifications:


Physical Requirements:
General working hours M-F 8 am - 5 pm.
Some nights and weekends possible.
Occasionally will need to attend special events.
Be on-call for crisis communication situations.
