Job Description

This position supports the Senior Asst. Provost for Academic Affairs along with the day-to-day operations of the Institutional Effectiveness (IE) office. The IE office plays a crucial role across the University supporting academic operations from assessment to exam scoring. This position plays an important role within the office to support the efforts of the large number of projects/initiatives happening at any given time.

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous administrative support experience-required.
  • Previous project/event management experience-preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Senior Assistant Provost’s office and the Institutional Effectiveness office – coordinating events, meetings, and project coordination. The position is in charge of communicating new policy changes or other University wide initiatives, so the department remains in compliance.
  • Assist with the execution of special projects to varying degrees; including but not limited to Shared Competencies, Faculty Portfolio, Middle States, EAB, Strategic Planning, Forum on Institutional Effectiveness, Assessment Leadership Institute, One University Assessment Celebration, Watermark, and Hanover Research.
  • Provide purchasing and budgetary practice and planning for IE and the Senior Assistant Provost. Plan, order, and reconcile financial purchases of fluctuating size and importance from credit card reconciliations, contract renewals, special promotional good requests, etc.
  • Assist with oversite of student employees, to include payroll, and day-to-day interaction and to alert supervisors of concerns or questions.
  • Act as a liaison for the Senior Assistant Provost between Deans, Department Chairs, Direct reports, faculty, staff, students, and various departments within and outside the University.
