The basics of this position:

Performs duties necessary to provide a variety of support and resources services for students utilizing services of the Student Advocacy & Resource Center, which includes the Archers' Market (campus food pantry), clothing closet, and the family resource center in conjunction with Child Care Resource and Referral coordinator. Often serves as the first point of contact for those engaging with the Student Advocacy & Resource Center. May plan, participate, and/or facilitate events. Will assist in management of the Archers' Market including receiving donations and purchases, maintaining and organizing storage and preparation space, and distributing items. Help address the needs of students through referrals to campus and community resources.

What you'll do:

• Coordinates support process for student(s) experiencing barriers to their STLCC retention
and success.

• Maintains confidential student database; records, monitors new data; performs record
checks as required; completes necessary verifications, copies, scans, and faxes student
information items as needed.

• Coordinates application process for various support programs: interviews students;
compiles, analyzes and enters data; determines student eligibility for support program
admission, financial aid, and course registration.

• Monitors specific office operations: Supply stock, general office duties (calendar
appointments, travel arrangements and process expenses, requisitions, distribution of
incoming/outgoing mail, time recorder).

• May develop forms and procedures.

• Monitors student computer usage and student workers.

• Records and monitors budget transactions related to the individual department.

• Uses applicable software and hardware (e.g. computers, scanner, printers).

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Bending, reaching, and lifting items in relation to the primary job duties performed as
needed. Weight of items lifted may exceed 10 pounds.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent and over three (3) months of relevant full- time
experience.
