Job Summary
Under the direction of a Food Service Manager, the Food Service Supervisor is directly responsible for managing the daily operations of Gasthaus and other units as assigned. Units have their own full-time Food Service Assistants, and are operated mostly by part-time student staff. All FT and PT staff report directly to the Food Service Supervisor. Responsibilities include operating the units' standards, staff hiring, scheduling, supervision of training, inventory control, product quality, ordering, sanitation, and cash control. The Supervisor will be directly responsible for communicating with the franchise representatives on standard compliances, the public, special promotional programs, merchandising, and marketing.
Hours of Operation: Sunday 12pm-8:30pm, Monday-Thursday 2pm-10:30pm
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ retail food/merchandising experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading/supervising kitchen staff
- Cash handling experience in a retail environment
- Experience with staff development and training
- Experience in employee scheduling and payroll
- Certificate of completion from a certified Food Safety program
