Manhattanville College invites applications for the position of Registrar. Reporting to the Provost, and working closely with students, faculty, and staff from all areas of the College, the Registrar will have a significant impact on how we support students, improve delivery of courses, and move the College forward in improving efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Provide strategic planning, direction, and supervision for all activities pertaining to the Office of the Registrar. Provide leadership and training for continuous improvement of student and faculty services. Create a team environment that sets clear expectations and is collaborative, creative, and results-oriented. Develop and implement core business processes, policies, and procedures in line with the needs of Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management policies. Ensure the integrity, security and privacy of student records. Serve as steward of all student academic records for the College. Ensure proper management of course scheduling, registration, grading and certification of degree candidates Provide FERPA expertise and oversight of proper FERPA policies and practices. Oversee and manage the College’s curriculum records and course records in accordance with best practices. Prepare and obtain approval for the College’s academic calendars. Supervise efficient and orderly scheduling of campus academic facilities. Interface with Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, OneStop, and Student Accounts to ensure proper enrollment management practices and student customer service Maintain the College’s compliance with federal, state and local educational requirements. Serve as “Subject Matter Expert” for use and development of the College’s Student Information System, Colleague. Oversee and manage the budget for the Registrar’s Office. Provide periodic reporting and data collection for registration, course/section and enrollment activities.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher with five or more years’ experience working with records management and student information system integration, (Colleague) in a College or University setting. A working knowledge and familiarity of FERPA policies is essential. Candidates must possess exceptional management and organizational skills, an exceptional attention to detail, be self-motivated and creative, and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A thorough knowledge of IT systems currently used in higher education is a must, along with familiarity of industry standards.
