Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Anthropology Department at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Anthropology position in cultural anthropology for the 2023-2024 academic year.

In addition to teaching courses that contribute to the department’s major and minor in anthropology and its major in public health and anthropology, the ideal candidate’s expertise will contribute to the college’s interdisciplinary program in Women’s and Gender Studies. Teaching responsibilities are three courses per semester.

The position commences on July 1, 2023.

Minimum Qualifications:

A PhD in Anthropology is required at the time of appointment.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with the qualifications, education and experience.
