An expanding, fully accredited college with a base campus in Vermont, LC has expanded through online programs and the Success Center to serve neurodiverse individuals with services, courses, and degree programs. Due to growth at the Bay Area Success Center, LC seeks a new Learning Specialist at its San Mateo, CA location. A flexible schedule and generous signing bonus are available.

Reporting to the Director of the Success Center, the Learning Specialist is responsible for providing personalized, in-person as well as online support services to students and other individuals. The Learning Specialist will have working knowledge of profiles of neurodivergent students and be well-versed in evidence-based interventions. The Learning Specialist must also be able to teach high school and college-level active reading, writing, and math strategies, as well as strategies to support notetaking, test-taking, time management, problem solving, prioritization, and goal setting. Other responsibilities include managing student support data, identifying and assessing student success, and providing insight and tracking metrics for program success. The opportunity exists to fulfill these duties in either a half-time or a full-time role, depending on the candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, Psychology, or a related field expected. Several years of study skills intervention at the high school and/or college level is highly desirable with experience in online learning and engagement desirable. The ability to relate to and communicate with teenagers, young adults, and adults is necessary. Preference is given to individuals with experience working with neurodiverse students who learn differently and those willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Interested individuals should provide a cover letter, resume or CV, and the names of three work references. Electronic submissions are preferred. Please email your application to humanresources@landmark.edu. Applications may also be mailed to Director of Human Resources, Landmark College, 19 River Road South, Putney, Vermont 05346.
