Position Summary

The Department of Lifelong Education, Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia is pleased to announce an Endowed Professorship in Educational Administration at the rank of Full Professor beginning August 2023. We seek an individual with outstanding accomplishments in research in the field of Educational Administration.

The successful candidate will provide intellectual leadership in the Educational Administration and Policy program and beyond and will conduct high impact research related to educational administration. We seek a scholar who will maintain an ambitious research agenda, including developing proposals for external funding, overseeing project implementation, disseminating research through scholarly writing and presentations, mentoring graduate students, contributing to the preparation of K-12 leaders, and collaborating with faculty on research activities related to the mission of the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy. The candidate will also join us in our commitment to diversifying higher education and serving our diverse programmatic and student needs and interests. The candidate will hold tenure in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy in the College of Education and contribute to the research, instructional, and service mission of this academic department. The appointment will be for the 2023-24 academic year and is contingent on the continued availability of funding.

The Department of Lifelong Education, Administration and Policy is comprised of three programs: Educational Administration and Policy, Learning Leadership and Organization Development, and Qualitative Research. The Educational Administration and Policy program offers a variety of degrees including PhD, EdD in Educational Leadership, MEd in Educational Administration and Policy, and tiered leadership certifications.

  • An outstanding record of teaching, clinical practice and/or research in the areas of Educational Administration/Leadership.
  • An established record of leading collaborative research and development activities.
  • A prominent national or international reputation in the field of Educational Administration/Leadership.
