Job Description:
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL NEEDED:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated
organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- At least 2 years of HR experience
- Good working knowledge of HR practices
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems
(HRIS); Workday is a plus
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure pre-employment requirements are met prior to the start
date, particularly the I-9 process
- Serve as frontline Workday support for employees having
difficulty completing onboarding tasks
- Ensure new employees are properly onboarded and have everything
needed to start work on day 1: netid, Stagcard, parking sticker,
etc.
- Schedule and conduct benefits orientations for new full-time
new hires
- Schedule and coordinate faculty benefits overview for
finalists
- Organize new hire training and follow up to achieve a 100%
completion rate
- Verify all new hire data in Workday is complete and
accurate
- Assist Recruiter in logistics related to coordinating interview
schedules and locations
- Oversee and organize new hire orientation welcome event
- Take the lead with gathering of H-1B filing materials such as
job postings
- Assist Director, Talent Management and Manager, Talent
Management as necessary
- Provide support in the professional development of HR and act
as a responsible committee representative, as requested
- Direct visitors to appropriate team members and/or answer basic
HR related questions
- Other duties as assigned by manager
