Job Description:

The department of Business Administration at MCLA seeks applicants for a fulltime (9-month) Visiting Assistant Professor of Business Administration, to begin fall of 2023. Candidates must be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching in a small liberal arts college environment. Our students body consists largely of first-generation and underrepresented groups, so familiarity with effective pedagogy that creates an inclusive and supportive environment is paramount. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate courses in accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and appropriate specialization areas (for example, courses in economics, legal & social environment of business, personal investing, etc.). The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester, and additional responsibilities may include advising and mentoring students and participating in departmental committee work. There are also opportunities for relevant scholarship and other professional activities.


Requirements:

The successful candidate must hold an M.B.A. or M.S. in relevant field (accounting, finance, economics, etc.). Consideration will also be given to applicants who are completing their dissertation.
