Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Medical Anthropology

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Open Date: Sep 30, 2022
Deadline:

The Department of Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Medical Anthropology. We seek a colleague whose work will complement curricular and theoretical initiatives to decolonize the modern life sciences, reverse longstanding institutional and political trends that perpetuate racial and ethnic disparities, and inspire innovative investigative frameworks that lead to improved accountability and care. The successful candidate will have an innovative theoretical and empirical research agenda in critical medical anthropology. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to outstanding mentoring and teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, which includes the department's MD-PhD Program. PhD is expected by the time of the appointment, July 1, 2023. Geographical area of study is open.

To apply, please submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a one-page research statement, a one-page teaching statement, and the contact information of three referees to http://apply.interfolio.com/114738
