Summary:
Personable, engaging instructors needed to teach adult personal enrichment classes for the following programs:

• Embark Program for Young Adults - classes and experiences designed to impart life skills for a safe, secure and fun transition into adulthood.

Required Qualifications:

1. Excellent communication skills
2. Exceptional ability to engage participants
3. Relevant teaching experience
4. Competency and or commitment to learn and use instructional technologies, used at CLC: Zoom, Canvas, Destiny, Adobe Cloud, Microsoft 365, etc.
5. A course proposal form and demonstration of teaching style will be required.
6. Ability to work effectively and constructively work with persons of diverse cultures, gender identities, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in subject area of teaching
2. Minimum of three years’ relevant, successful experience teaching the subject proposed
3. Bilingual in Spanish and English

Special Instructions Summary: A course proposal form and demonstration of teaching style will be required.This posting will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates.
