    Department Summary

    The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The department has approximately 250 administrative & classified employees and hosts over 600,000 spectators annually and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.
    Position Summary

    Responsible for supporting customer service, administrative work, and stewardship processes of the Duck Athletic Fund and the University of Oregon Athletic Department (Oregon Athletics).

    Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director of Development (AAD-D), the DAF Program Assistant implements the strategic vision of Oregon Athletics to engage the University of Oregon's diverse audiences comprised of internal and external stakeholders. This position works as part of the Duck Athletic Fund to promote university fundraising priorities and image to alumni, parents, and friends of the university.

    This position requires independent thinking and the ability to prioritize work assignments, use good judgment, and take initiative to solve problems. Under the supervision of the AAD-D, this position makes decisions about routine office management, prioritizing work assignments, and streamlining workflow.

    This position requires a flexible work schedule to allow for some evening and weekend work, and occasional travel. The position also requires a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a UO Driver's Certification.
    Minimum Requirements

  • Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and
  • Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

  • Ability to interact, communicate, and work effectively with individuals, recognizing and respecting the many and varied identities of each person.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the field of fundraising.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Familiarity with the University of Oregon and its constituents.
