HokieVision's goal is to deliver personalized, significant and unexpected experiences to fans at all of Virginia Tech's home venues. As part of the HokieVision team, the Assistant Director, In-Venue Experience, will work to entertain the best college fans in the country. This position reports to the Associate Director, In-Venue Experience, and will work with Athletics' external leadership team to plan and execute department initiatives. This position will also be HokieVision’s representative in select sports squads, and also assist in developing, and producing videoboard shows and content. Responsibilities will include working with Marketing and HokieVision's Creative Production team to create new and innovative videos and fan engagement pieces that are creative and entertaining, as well as contributing to in-game production for various HokieVision in arena/stadium shows.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with significant video work experience, or a master's degree.
Ability to visually tell stories that contribute to fan experience.
Ability to work in a collaborative team setting, while also being self-motivated, organized, and have a strong work ethic.
Experience with live game production & related equipment.
Experience with editing software such as Adobe Premiere, or comparable software.
Commitment to diversity.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in multiple control room positions in live production. Can include director, technical director, replay, graphics or camera.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects).
