Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Student Accounts Coordinator must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to perform multiple tasks in an environment where priorities can change daily. A successful candidate must be professional, dependable, have integrity and a cooperative attitude, and be trustworthy. Additionally, a successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to work well with others, be able to prioritize to meet deadlines and work independently.
General duties include:
Main point of contact for student inquiries by responding to student accounts
emails and phone calls
Main point of contact for third party billing and processing
Invoicing, payment receipt and processing, applying deferments and
payments to student accounts
Monitor and react to various reports associated with charges and credits
affecting students accounts
Reconcile and post electronic payments
Prepare correspondence and distribution lists for campus wide student
communications
Correspond with third party collection agency
Back up and assist other Accounting functions
Other duties as needed and assigned
Minimum Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications
NA
Minimum Required Qualifications
Solid competency with Microsoft Office programs
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Accurate with data entry
Ability to research and resolve student billing inquiries
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience with Banner Student Accounts Receivable and/or TouchNet systems
Prior experience with student communications and student accounts
