Job Description
The Robert J. Trulaske Sr., College of Business, Undergraduate Advising Office is seeking a highly motivated employee to advise undergratuate students with interest in the Trulaske College of Business regarding issues such as degree requirements, choosing a major, probationary concern, course registration and other concerns. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
85% Advise undergraduate business students or students who want to be business majors:
- Track progress for applying to the upper level
- Check graduation requirements
- Counsel on career preparation
- Academic counseling
- Advise students regarding students schedule
- Advise students wanting to change their major to Business
- Work with probation/academic actions
- Maintain communication with advisees
- Evaluate transcripts
- Referrals
- Transitional Advising
- Assist with the college’s graduation
10% Other duties as assigned by the Director of Undergraduate Advising
Salary
Salary Range: $45,000 - $47,000 annually
GGS Grade: 008
University Title: Academic Advisor

Shift
8a-5p, Monday – Friday, occasional evening and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree with equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. 2 years of experience working in higher education serving as an advisor to students. Knowledge of academic policies and student affairs is also beneficial.
