Description

Dartmouth Engineering seeks to fill multiple instructional faculty positions in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. These instructional faculty positions are non-tenure-line, promotion and sabbatical eligible positions, with a renewable 3-year term. Instructional faculty are expected to teach 4-5 courses each year, advise students, and take on some service responsibilities. While conducting scholarship related to engineering education is encouraged, a research program is not required. We seek applicants interested in developing and teaching both in-person and online courses, including courses for a new online Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computer Engineering Program that will launch in January of 2024.

Applicants should have a doctorate in engineering or a related field and a demonstrated potential to develop and teach a range of electrical and computer engineering courses, both in-person and online. Some example areas of interest include, but are not limited to, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, parallel computing, FPGA architecture and algorithms, and embedded systems. Candidates will be excellent teachers who embrace Thayer's interdisciplinary, collaborative, project-based approach to engineering education.
