Description:
If you are interested in serving as the full time Associate Director of the PreCollege and Youth Program to support our summer high school resident program and other adult credit programs throughout the academic year, we want to hear from you! Do you have experience in running educational programs for the high school age student and scheduling events, assisting in the budget process, making data driven decisions and have excellent interpersonal skills? On a typical day you will:
  • Develop effective programming and events for the PreCollege and other adult programs
  • Liaise with key administrative offices, communicate with faculty and students
  • Manage student employees and staff during the PreCollege summer program
  • Handle communication with students and parents
  • Work closely with the SCPS team for marketing, operational and financial program support

This position is full time, 35 hours per week hybrid with a mix of remote and on-site on the Brooklyn campus and on the Pratt Manhattan campus building.

The Salary Range is $65,500 - $73,900 + Generous Benefits including:

Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, or applicable discipline and 3-5 years of administrative experience working directly with high school students is required. Master’s degree is preferred.

Skills:
  • Excellent coordination and organizational skills and expertise in the assistance of planning and implementing programs in an academic environment.
  • Professional written communication skills for email, print, programmatic materials, website, and social media.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff while managing sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with: Google Suite and MS Office applications including PowerPoint, Office, and Excel; design applications such as Adobe Suite or Canva; social media platforms; internal and external technology systems within the Institute.
  • Demonstrated level of cultural competence and sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, gender, gender identity, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of the students we serve and sensitivity to and knowledge and understanding of groups historically underrepresented, and groups who may have experienced discrimination.
