Library Director

Wayne State University invites qualified applications and nominations for the next Library Director of the Arthur Neef Law Library. We are seeking an exceptional individual who is excited to join our Library System leadership team as we collaborate to promote student success, scholarship, organizational development and culture, and community engagement. The successful candidate will be innovative, resourceful, and decisive, having professional experience in managing changing environments and an interest in building partnerships across our campus and within the Detroit metropolitan community.

 

The Library Director of the Arthur Neef Law Library reports to the Dean of University Libraries and is responsible to the Dean of the Law School for supporting its students, faculty, and programs.  The Law School offers J.D. and LL.M. degree programs in addition to a new Master of Science in Law (M.S.L.) program for human resources professionals and a vibrant undergraduate Minor-in-Law program.  Currently, there are 323 full-time and 44 part-time enrolled J.D. students. The Law School is home to the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights and the Carl M. Levin Center which promotes oversight capacity in legislative bodies.  The Law School’s 7 clinics and numerous externship programs offer an abundance of experiential learning opportunities for Wayne Law students.
