Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer
Position Description
The Rider University community is composed of faculty, staff, and students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
Rider University is committed to fostering an inclusive, vibrant living and learning community that embraces students, faculty, and staff of all backgrounds and enables them to achieve success.
Rider University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference ( MAAC ) invites applications for three Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainers. These positions will work under the direct supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer to ensure the health and welfare of the student athletes competing in the University’s NCAA Division I athletic program. The Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainers will be responsible for the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of injuries and illness within the University’s comprehensive sports medicine program. Specific team assignments will be made to identify areas of primary coverage and travel responsibilities, but the individuals will be expected to work with student-athletes from all sports and provide coverage to all programs when necessary.
The Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer positions have been specifically created to replace Rider University’s Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer positions. These positions have been designed to be equally desirable to recent master’s level graduates or ATCs interested in earning a master’s degree.
