Maintains effective and efficient operation of complex database structures and associated applications. Ensures database runs properly, keeps database current, and makes access readily available and timely.
  1. Assists with performing infrastructure improvements of production and development databases, which includes patches and software application upgrades.
  2. Analyzes, implements and maintains databases, including data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries and schemas, access methods, device allocations, validation checks, organization and security.
  3. Monitors the relationships between the database users and applications, and maintains the organization's databases across multiple platforms and computing environments.
  4. Assists functional and technical users with functional and technical testing in all environments.
  5. Performs tests of application and database processes to ensure processes work accurately and meet technical user requirements.
  6. Develops technical documentation on developed processes.
  7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Bachelors and 3 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
