Summary
Do you have broad fundraising experience and want to contribute to the success of a university focused on educating and advancing communities of discovery to foster a healthier society? University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis is currently looking for an experienced fundraising professional to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective donors with an emphasis on gifts of $25,000 or greater. Since our founding over 155 years ago, UHSP has provided a world-class education for health care leaders and innovators and been a place where future professionals and practitioners come together to foster a healthier society. If you consider some of your strengths to be in your communication, relationship building, planning, and knowledge of fundraising for a non-profit or educational institution you are encouraged to apply and contribute to the institution!

In this role, you will get to:
  • Develop and promote relationship strategies for major gift prospects in assigned portfolio
  • Identify potential major gift prospects, including interest and affiliation with the University.
  • Build relationships with donors and assist in coordinating strategies and personal interactions between donors and institutional partners.
  • Write major gift proposals and agreements
  • Solicit gifts with an emphasis on $25,000+
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


  • Qualifications
    To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising or related field
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism
  • Self-motivation and ability to motivate volunteers and donors
  • Ability to work as a team member in a complex organization
  • Willingness to travel on a frequent basis and work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
