Job Summary/Basic Functions

Library Student Employees fulfill many roles at the EKU Library. Student employees serve as greeters to library users and provide support to patrons at our service desks. Employees will receive training in customer service, materials shelving, technology troubleshooting, some light clerical processes, moving furniture and event set up. This position requires the ability and willingness to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of people including patrons and library staff. Adaptability and flexibility are a must for the successful candidate. Library student employees in this position will primarily be working at the Main Library during the weekend and evening hours, which are listed below.

Sunday: 10:45am to 1:15am
Monday - Thursday: 5:00pm - 1:15am
Friday: 5:00pm - 8:15pm
Saturday: 10:45 - 6:15pm

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at EKU

Preferred Qualifications:

• Federal Work Study

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
