Part-Time Consultant



The L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs invites applications for a Part-Time Consultant. This position will support the quantitative component of the "Charting a Course for Economic Mobility and Responsible Parenting" evaluation project. This project has three phases: Phase 1 coming to an end on January 31, 2023. Phase 2 will begin in February, and entails finalizing the evaluation plan that the VCU team drafted in Phase 1 (Conducting a pilot study using this evaluation plan, and analyzing/presenting the pilot study results).

Job Duties:

The overall goal of this project is to create and conduct a program evaluation for a new responsible parenting online course that has been developed by the Virginia Department of Social Services. This position will assist with all aspects of Phase 2 with a primary focus on making recommendations as to how to best collect the quantitative data, analyzing the data from the pilot study, and assisting with reporting the results.

Requirements:

- - PhD in public policy and administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

- - P rior experience with quantitative data collection and analysis.

- - Demonstrated ability to create and carry out a quantitative research study.

- - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- - Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
