Rugby Coach (PART-TIME)
The Rugby Coach has a key role in developing the whole person by ensuring that participating in rugby at Champlain is an enjoyable and rewarding experience for the player. They will take every opportunity to talk to and listen to the players when balancing the needs of the individual and the team. The Coach must never lose sight of the importance of his leadership in establishing and achieving the team goals. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of the sport of rugby and safety protocol and be able to teach and educate students on the importance of following USA Rugby protocol and best practices. This is a part-time role at 10-15 hours per week.
- Create, manage and execute educational and athletic activities for the men's and women's rugby teams. Create team practice drills, matches, and educational programming for Champlain students.
- Safety and wellbeing of a standard college rugby club program that follows the SGA standards of practice through the Club Guide Book.
- Facilitate and create a cohesive culture for the men's and women's rugby community.
High School Diploma or GED required
The successful completion of a criminal background check is required as a condition of employment.
