Job Summary

Ensure robustness, efficiency, and synergies across non-majors courses, including face-to-face and online offerings, on Statesboro, Savannah, and Liberty campuses to the benefit of the Biology Department and across the university majors.

  • Work closely with graduate program director to select and assign graduate teaching assistants to courses
  • Mentor graduate students in teaching pedagogy and following University rules
  • Evaluate Teaching Assistant(s) instruction
  • Manage course fee budgets, inventory, and purchasing for all non-majors labs
  • Chair the non-majors committee
  • Work with faculty and curriculum committee on non-majors curriculum design to attract students, grow enrollment, and improve student success
  • Submit hiring paperwork for graduate Teaching Assistant(s)
  • Supervise 20-40 graduate students Teaching Assistants per year
  • Supervise Laboratory Technician assisting with 1103 and 1230 labs

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Master's Degree in an applicable field

  • PhD in an applicable field

Proposed Salary

$61,300 - $63,660

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
