A research coordinator position is available in the areas of human neuroscience, neuroimaging (fMRI), and mental health within the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences under the direction of Dr. Aaron Kucyi. This position is sponsored by an R21 grant from the National Institute of Mental Health.
Essential Functions
- The primary responsibilities of the position are to implement advertisement/recruitment plans for research study participants.
- Schedule and perform participant screenings and assessments.
- Set up fMRI research protocols.
- Perform fMRI data collection and analysis.
- Set up computational pipelines for dataset storage and organization.
- Assist with maintaining protocol approvals with the NIH and the IRB.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years in Neuroscience, psychology, biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Strongly motivated to learn technical and computational skills; some programming/coding experience preferred.
- Strong interest in neuroscience, psychology, and cutting-edge technologies used to study the brain and mind.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent scientific writing skills
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team setting toward a common goal.
