Summary
Are you interested in leveraging your teaching skills at a small, unique, close-knit university where your efforts are contributing to a healthier society? University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis (UHSP) recently expanded undergraduate programs in the College of Arts & Sciences and is seeking a non-tenure-track, academic year, physics faculty member at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor to start Fall 2023.

The physics faculty member will contribute by teaching a variety of undergraduate physics courses and labs and developing electives in their areas of interest (80-90% effort). We seek candidates who could also teach lower-level mathematics courses as needed. The faculty member will also provide service to the University by advising students, serving on faculty committees, and optionally serving as a faculty advisor for student organizations (10-20%). Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:

A Masters degree (Ph.D. required for Assistant Professor rank) in physics, or a closely related discipline, completed by the date of appointment.

Experience teaching college level physics courses (experience can include graduate teaching assistantships). Experience teaching mathematics is a plus.

An interest in relating physics to student interests in physiology, exercise science, and biomedical sciences.

An interest in developing and teaching physics or astronomy courses that would satisfy general education requirements.
