DEPARTMENT: Student & Enrollment Services
REPORTS TO: Executive Dean, Student & Enrollment Services
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with general inquiries regarding student and enrollment services, student appeals, and other related college services.
- Organizes and coordinates administrative workflow including supervisory support for major projects, routine operations, publicity and promotion activities, and other related assignments.
- Maintains comprehensive personnel files for faculty and other staff.
- Provides budgetary and procurement support for the division/department.
- Collects, researches, and organizes materials to assist the division/department.
- Assists in the preparation of division/department reports.
- Provides administrative assistance to senior division/department personnel.
- Attends divisional/department and other campus meetings as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years verifiable full-time experience in a busy office setting, which includes working independently on multiple projects with a variety of people and deadlines
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with diverse groups
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with budget procedures and processing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Business/secretarial certificate or Associate’s degree
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint
- Knowledge of the College’s institutional and academic procedures
- Previous work experience in an academic area/college/school setting
- Ability to deal with emotionally charged students
