Adjunct Faculty in Graduate Business Data Analytics

Job Description

The School of Business at the University of Indianapolis is currently experiencing growth in both its undergraduate and graduate business programs and is currently accepting applications for an Adjunct Faculty in Data Analytics.

The Adjunct Faculty in Data Analytics will plan courses by developing and facilitating relevant applied curricula for a graduate environment. The strategic focus of graduate business programs is to engage students with applied projects that relate to the professional workplace. Instructors are encouraged to develop applied projects, group work, and student presentations, and incorporate guest speakers, and professional certifications into the curricula. Instructors are required to plan weekly classroom lessons, activities, and assignments.

The ideal candidate should possess a graduate degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Computer Science with industry experience in analytics, and a business-level understanding of the relationships and concepts of strategic management and applied-business analytics. Candidates should be professionally proficient with one or more of the following programs – PowerBI, R, and Python. Prior teaching experience in Applied Analytics is preferred. Qualified candidates with Master’s degrees will be considered, provided they have significant related professional experience and sufficient graduate hours in analytics content.

The Adjunct Faculty in Data Analytics will be required to teach evening courses beginning at 5:45 p.m. and continuing until 8:45 or 9:15 depending on the course and semester offered. This position will start in May 2023.
