Provide clinical mental health services for students of the University of North Carolina, Pembroke. Work with the wide range of student mental health issues, support the CAPS team prevention and intervention work and oversee sexual assault prevention and advocacy for the CAPS department.
Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: To possess at least a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology or a related field, preferably from a CACREP or an APA accredited program. To have some experience in counseling, assessment within an educational setting, and college student services. To have credentials as a National Certified Counselor and as a NC Licensed Professional Counselor or NC Licensed Practicing Psychologist or equivalent credentials.
Management Preferences: Experience working in a college counseling center. Experience with counseling modalities/certifications that are evidence-based for trauma. Experience working in sexual assault advocacy and prevention.
Licenses and Certifications: NC Licensed Professional Counselor or Social Worker, or NC Licensed Practicing Psychologist or equivalent credentials.
