Job Description

Perform miscellaneous landscape and grounds installation and maintenance: mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, etc.
Miscellaneous grounds maintenance activities, including litter collection, snow removal, sweeping, etc.
Equipment maintenance; digging, grading & seeding.
A valid driver’s license and physical abilities to complete tasks are required.

Salary

Salary Range: $14.00-$15.00

GGS Grade: B

University Title: GROUNDSKEEPER I

Minimum Qualifications

A job offer for this position is contingent on passing a physical examination to determine if the candidate possesses the physical capabilities necessary to perform the essential functions.
  • High School graduate or an equivalent combination of education and experience, from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired, is necessary.
  • Ability on a daily basis to:
    • Shovel snow, climb ladders and operate heavy, power-operated mowing and snow removal equipment
    • Grasp, lift, carry and set down heavy objects (50-75 lbs.)
    • A valid driver’s license may be required for certain positions.
