Position Description: The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Iowa invites applications for one full-time Clinical Instructor (non-tenure track) position. This position is renewable on a yearly basis. The preferred start date is May 1, 2023. Applications are sought from candidates with a demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching biochemistry and molecular biology.

Duties of this position include course development, teaching, and professional development as outlined on the course syllabus.

Education Requirements: A doctoral degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or other closely related field is required.

Required Qualifications: Demonstrated potential in the following areas: teaching excellence, teaching across multiple content areas, teaching across multiple formats (lab, lecture, etc), engaging students using creative pedagogy, and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.
