Job Summary:
Develops, evaluates and implements multicultural programs for students, and recruitment efforts in order to support underrepresented students' success and enrollment. Develops internal partnerships in support of program awareness and providing student interventions, as needed.
Responsibilities:
- 25% Assists in the development and implementation of student multicultural programs
- 20% Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal partnerships to coordinate institutional diversity efforts and initiatives
- 25% Facilitates cross unit recruiting efforts for student, faculty, and staff involvement to raise awareness and involvement in multicultural programming
- 5% Designs, delivers, and evaluates interventions, programs and services for underrepresented students
- 5% Advises students and community stakeholders in building sustainable coalitions, organizations, and/or movements
- 5% May monitor BEL budget
- 5% Serves as a point of contact for undergraduates through 1 on 1 advising provides information about educational options and academic requirement
- 10% Assesses and identifies student interests, skills, and values to match resources within undergraduate department

Education:
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2 years experience in higher education or at an organization managing student programming.
- 2 years history of support of underrepresented students through programming, advising or counseling
Preferred:
- Experience leading and supporting events
- Strong attention to detail and follow through
- Experience working effectively in teams and independently
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with colleagues and other key partners
Work Type:
Full Time: 100%
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
