ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning through Research (CATLR) inspires, equips, and connects learners, educators, and scholars to design, integrate, and research learning across experiences. Operating as part of Northeastern's Educational Innovation (EI) division, CATLR supports educators from across the university as they create integrated, cohesive, and powerful learning experiences regardless of location or mode of engagement. The CATLR team is dynamic and highly collaborative.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of administrative responsibilities to support day-to-day operations for the Center. This position also supports project and event management, Center resources like databases and reports, and communication channels like targeted e-mails and the Center website. Reporting to the Director of Design and Integration, the individual in this position will work independently and collaboratively to provide comprehensive administrative support for CATLR.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of administrative experience, preferably in a college/university setting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook (specifically in a scheduling/calendar management capacity), Word, PowerPoint, with advanced proficiency in Excel
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in person and remotely
- Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal
- Strong analytic and organizational skills
- Ability to handle technical tasks
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to perform at a high standard exhibiting attention to detail in a demanding and fast-paced environment
