About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

College Success Manager is responsible for proposing, collaborating on, reviewing/approving, and tracking various marketing strategies and tactics for colleges, programs and initiatives across Northeastern University's portfolio of graduate and bachelor completion degree programs. All activities must drive and support annual enrollment goals and contribute to the overall success of Northeastern University and its programs. The College Success Manager is data-driven in his/her approach to optimization and ensures tracking of information and trends to measure effectiveness of various marketing approaches in meeting enrollment targets. The College Success Manager communicates proactively, diplomatically, and clearly around shared marketing and business objectives and is able to engage effectively with diverse stakeholder audiences, including faculty and administrators.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

College Enrollment Strategy -
  • Lead strategic marketing projects from conception to execution to improve the student experience, increase conversions, and optimize collaborative processes.
  • Promote alignment of college priorities and marketing/enrollment strategies across portfolios and facilitates consistent brand messaging.
  • Assists leadership in defining key collaborative processes for the Marketing and Enrollment teams to promote effective workflows.
  • Work collaboratively with Enrollment Management team to ensure that all marketing reflects consistent and timely on-brand messages.
  • Provides strategic leadership on key marketing initiatives.


Marketing Content and Messaging Development -
  • Partner with college teams to develop compelling brand positioning, messaging and content for use in marketing efforts across the funnel.
  • Develop marketing assets in partnership with internal and external vendors and teams.
  • Proactively recommends sales enablement assets which could benefit their portfolio and EM partners throughout the recruitment and enrollment process.
  • Understand marketing automation tool(s) (Marketo) and CRM(s) (Salesforce) to effectively attract and nurture prospective students throughout the enrollment process.
  • Mentors team members on aligning messaging and ensuring consistency across the portfolio.


Internal Collaboration and Relationship Management -
  • Collaborates closely with all other Enrollment colleagues
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for college(s), as assigned, and partners closely with Associate/Assistant Deans and college marketing and admissions representatives to establish transparent recruitment goals and reporting
  • Develop and maintain positive external and internal relationships throughout the university.
  • Collaborate on the execution and strategy of performance marketing plans.


Reporting and Analysis -
  • Effectively track and measure success and ROI through regular monitoring and reporting of data through the entire enrollment funnel: from lead generation and nurturing through enrollment.
  • Collect and analyze data to make data-driven decisions.
  • Provides valuable insights for bimonthly reports and quarterly strategic discussions.
  • Proactively identify data needs and helps reimagine data tracking mechanisms and processes for decision making.


General Management, H.R., and Financial Management -
  • Manage/Co-Manage an Assistant Marketing Manager, providing guidance, mentorship, training and growth opportunities.
  • Manage budget, as needed.
  • Seek professional development opportunities.


In addition, the College Success Manager provides input on strategies for program portfolios and ensures consistency in branding and graphic identity. The College Success Manager plans marketing strategy and tactics, collaborates with partners across the university, consults data, and navigates departmental and university processes. This role is integral in the launch of programs for all assigned colleges.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing and communications with demonstrated mastery of multiple marketing disciplines
  • Proven success in development and execution of strategic marketing plans and programs that leverage a range of outbound and inbound strategies as well as a variety of channels
  • Experience developing and managing against a KPI framework for marketing success. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Flexible, creative thinker open to new ideas and changing priorities within a fast-paced organization. Strong project management skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to think and act both analytically and strategically.
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation and CRM tools and strategy to achieve goals.
  • Experience working in both Marketo, Slate and Salesforce a plus.
  • Experience in higher education a plus.
