Job Description:

Research Assistant Professor at the University of Florida. The University of Florida Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a hematologist-oncologist or medical oncologist at the Research Assistant Professor level within the Division of Hematology & Oncology. The ideal candidate will have a clinical and research focus on sarcoma and will have an interest and passion for growing a research program in sarcoma and novel therapeutics, including immunotherapies. This faculty position will be based at our University teaching hospital. A joint faculty appointment at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center is possible for the interested candidate. Both hospitals serve a designated shortage area and/or a medically underserved area/population.

The UF Division of Hematology and Oncology is aligned with, and our faculty are members of, the UF Health Cancer Center, providing novel clinical research, innovative treatments, and compassionate care for individuals facing all types of cancer and hematologic diseases. The UF Department of Medicine is a national leader in cancer. In addition, UF Health Shands Hospital is ranked among the top-10 in 5 adult specialties and 5 pediatric specialties and ranked high performing in 23adult specialties and 16 procedures and conditions in the 2022-2023 edition of America's Best Hospitals, published by U.S. News & World Report.

Resources available for professional development at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center include leadership, education, and research tracks within a Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI), formal mentorship programs, and supported opportunities for teaching and research. This faculty position will be based at our main UF Health campus in Gainesville, Florida. Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable, commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
