Job Description
The Department of Kinesiology, Health and Sport Sciences is seeking applications for an Administrative Assistant. This a temporary position with an end date of August 1, 2023.
The Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as the Administrative Assistant for Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Sciences, and assisting the chairperson and directors with administrative functions as well as overall administrative tasks for Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Sciences department faculty and staff.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- College degree preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google-Based programs, Adobe programs, and database programs
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and appropriate interactions with students
- Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities while still meeting deadlines
- Creates and manages department records and reports, including those necessary for program accreditation and capstone experiences
- Collaborates with other College of Health Sciences administrative assistants, faculty, and staff on projects and work coverage
- Manages databases, websites, and learning management systems
- Assists with budget management and plans and coordinates events and program logistics
- Responds to and prepares correspondence and attends meetings and takes minutes
- Maintains supplies and equipment
- Assists visitors, answers telephone/email and direct inquiries; supervises, delegate, and works with a student graduate assistant on tasks assigned within the unit.
