POSITION: INSTRUCTOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
DEPARTMENT: COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS
DIVISION: COLLEGE OF STEM
OPENING DATE: AUGUST 2, 2022
CLOSING DATE: UNTIL FILLED
This non-tenure-track appointment will begin in August 2023.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach computer science courses to support the liberal studies curriculum of the University and the degree programs in the department. Other responsibilities include research, professional activity, and service to both the University and the community. Involving students in research activities is highly desirable. The faculty member will be required to evaluate and use current technology in courses and to maintain a positive educational relationship with students and colleagues. Other duties include academic advising, curriculum development, committee service and others required to meet organizational needs.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree or higher with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Computer Science. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching or mentoring a diverse student body.
Finalists for this position are subject to a background check. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history and identity check.
