Job Description

The College of Arts and Science (A&S) is hiring a Student Support Specialist I position to support advising and student services. This position will play an integral role in helping students and others who seek out information related to academic advising and enrollment as an undergraduate student in A&S. This is a great opportunity to work with a team that impacts students by providing accurate, helpful information to support how they navigate the College and University. This position also works with a group of advisors and student service professionals who are dedicated to student success. We’re seeking a individual with strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and focused on service to students and the advising team. The College of Arts and Science is the largest academic division at Mizzou with over 6,000 undergraduate students.

What you’ll learn
  • Assist undergraduate students who are navigating academic resources at the University
  • Proficiency in multiple student information systems and accurately update student records
  • How to interact professionally with a wide range of students, faculty, and staff at the University
Salary

Salary Range: $13.67 - $18.20

GGS Grade: 006

Shift

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Some weekends and evenings maybe required

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
