Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement the Administrative Assistant performs a variety of routine to moderately complex tasks in support of the activities of the Institutional Advancement division, including maintaining data management and tracking functions, compiling data for reports and for staff use, researching information, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting minutes, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, ordering supplies, and support University events as required. Receives, reviews, proofs, types, composes and/or submits a variety of documents, reports, requisitions, invoices, maintenance reports, charts, travel forms, etc. This position reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree supplemented by one to two years of secretarial or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office as well as the ability to type 40 words per minute with accuracy. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, university staff, and students from diverse backgrounds is an essential skill. Must be able to prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision. Familiarity with Jenzabar, Razors Edge/Blackbaud, or related CRM systems is preferred.
