ASDOH - Adjunct Physician Assistant (ACC)

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) seeks applications for non-exempt adjunct faculty in the Advanced Care Clinic (ACC) to examine patients, prescribe medicine, and order diagnostic tests. This position will work in the Mesa, Arizona clinic.

Job Duties:

• Interview and examine patients to determine diagnosis
• Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illness
• Prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes to remedy medical problems
• Maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies
• Coordinate patient care with dental team
• Discuss patient status during case conferences
• Attend CPR certification course to maintain current CPR/BLS Certificate

Required Experience and Skills:

• PA scope of practice
• One year patient and care team communication: PA must be able to communicate clearly and compassionately with patient and their colleagues
• Mentor and teach students and residents in a clinical environment
• Analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and technical skills required
• Self-directed, conscientious, and attention to detail required
• Compassionate and team oriented
• Must be licensed as a PA in the state of Arizona
